Jayne worked as a Producer on BAFTA winning series CASUALTY for BBC1. She has also produced and directed many documentaries for terrestrial broadcasters including the BAFTA nominated SPEAKING OUT.
Comedy/Horror TWO HEADS CREEK, Jayne’s third feature film, was shoot in the UK and Australia and was theatrically released in Australia in November 2019 with a Spring 2020 release scheduled for the UK. Her 2017 feature B&B starring Tom Bateman, Paul McGann and Sean Teale, was written and directed by Joe Ahearne. The film won Best LGBT Feature at the London Independent Film Awards and nine other awards at international festivals. It was released in the UK by Pecadillo and in North America by Breaking Glass.
Jayne’s first feature, DARTMOOR KILLING (2015), played across 35 screens in London and the South West and won Best Thriller at the 2016 National Film Awards and Best Premier (under 99) screens at the 2016 Screen Awards.
An accomplished drama and commercials director Jayne’s drama directing credits include HOLLYOAKS, GRANGE HILL and BROOKSIDE. Single TV dramas directed for ITV, THE BENCH with Maria Aitken and Leslie Grantham and THE ANORAK with Sandi Toskvig.
Jayne started her career as a theatre director and after winning the Royal Shakespeare Company Buzz Goodbody Award went on direct plays at the ROYAL COURT, SOHO POLY and RIVERSIDE STUDIOS before becoming Artistic Director of Common Stock Theatre Company.
